Violin Faculty
Ms. Barbara Azevedo graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree (violin) from the Federal University of Paraiba in Brazil. Before her studies, she performed in various youth and symphony orchestras.
In 2013, she was invited by maestro Marcos Arakaki to the Music on the Road Project and in the same year went abroad and obtained her advanced English communication certificate in Canada. Along with her higher music education, she has had training in Yoga and Theater, two areas that she uses in the lessons to develop stage security.
In her 12 year experience as a violin instructor she has worked with young children, teenagers and adults. Ms. Barbara has received Suzuki training from well respected teacher trainers Shinobu Saito (Brazil), and Edward Kreitman (USA).
